The ritual is simple. You come in, say hello, sit down. The cup arrives hot and the day waits a little. First thing, before work or school. Mid-morning, to catch your breath. Later on, to wind the day down slowly.

If you fancy something with your coffee, there are baguette sandwiches, mini or regular, and Argentine empanadas. But the coffee comes first. Always.

Takeaway, if you can't stop today

A hot coffee, a bocadillo, a few empanadas. Order at the bar and we'll get it ready while you wait. Or order your bocadillos and soft drinks ahead from your phone, Monday to Friday until 16:30, and pay at the bar when you collect.

We are Mercedes and Rocío.

Café Acció is the two of us. Mercedes runs the place. Rocío, her daughter, is at her side every morning. From Argentina come the choripán (a grilled chorizo sandwich) and the empanadas. From here, the bon dia, the mid-morning cortado and the people of the neighbourhood.

We like knowing your name and how you take your coffee. We like the school kids having somewhere to stop, and the regulars keeping their usual table. A small neighbourhood café, run with love. Come and see us.
